Who we are
This policy describes how Nilesh Kamble ("I", "me", or "the developer"), based in India, handles information for Ball Balance, an iOS game also published on the App Store as Ball Balance 2D, and for this website.
Contact: theillustrator2001@gmail.com. I do not have a Data Protection Officer.
Bundle ID: theIllustrator.Ball-Balance.
The product
Ball Balance is a portrait iOS game. You tilt, climb, and keep your balance. It is not a children's app. The game uses Google advertising (described below). It does not use Firebase, a crash-reporting SDK, or a separate analytics SDK in the app.
Advertising in the app
The app uses Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to show ads. Google and IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) vendors may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and app data, and ad interaction data (such as impressions, clicks, and whether a rewarded ad was completed) to serve ads, measure ads, and — if you consent — personalize ads.
Banner ads
Banner ads can appear on:
- Pause
- Game Over
- Level Complete
Banners are not shown on Home, Settings, Shop, or the tutorial. Campaign / story play does not show a banner while you are playing. Zen Mode may show a bottom banner while you play after you have opened Zen Mode three times. Only one banner is on screen at a time: the play banner hides when Pause or Game Over is shown.
Rewarded ads
After you lose a run, you may optionally choose Watch to Get Back by watching a rewarded video. You can always pay 50 gems instead. If you decline the consent form, Watch is hidden; gems Get Back stays available.
Legal bases
Where required by law — including in the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), and the United Kingdom (UK GDPR and PECR) — advertising that uses personal data is based on your consent.
You can withdraw or change consent at any time in the app: Settings → Privacy Options.
If you email me, I use that correspondence to reply. This website uses Google Analytics as described below.
Consent management (UMP / TCF 2.2)
The app uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) as its consent management platform (CMP). In the EEA, the UK, and other regions where Google requires a consent form, you will see Google's consent message before personalized ads are requested.
UMP implements IAB Europe TCF version 2.2. The form lists Google and other TCF vendors and purposes. Where Google AdMob also presents Additional Consent or Digital Markets Act (DMA) choices in your region, those appear in the same flow.
You can review or change your choices later under Settings → Privacy Options.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and IDFA
On iOS, Apple may ask whether you allow tracking. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for more relevant ads. If you decline, ads may still show without that identifier — including rewarded Watch ads, if UMP still allows ad requests.
ATT (Apple) and UMP (Google's consent form) are separate. You can allow or deny each as the system and the consent form present them.
Who receives data, and transfers
Ad-related data may be received by:
- Google LLC and its AdMob / advertising services
- advertising partners and IAB TCF vendors named in the UMP consent form
This can include transfers outside your country, including to the United States. I do not operate those transfers myself. Google describes its international transfers (including any Standard Contractual Clauses or other tools it uses) in Google's privacy policy.
Apple processes App Store downloads and in-app purchases (including gems and Remove Ads) under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
If you email me, that message is received by me in India and by my email provider.
I may disclose information if required by law, or if I believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect safety or respond to a lawful request.
Retention
I do not keep advertising profiles on your device beyond what the Google Mobile Ads and UMP SDKs store to show ads and remember your consent choices. Google's own retention periods apply to advertising data Google processes. See Google's privacy policy.
Emails you send me are kept as long as needed to respond and for ordinary record-keeping. Website analytics is retained according to Google Analytics.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — especially in the EU, EEA, and UK — you may have the right to access personal data, delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent.
- For in-app advertising consent: use Settings → Privacy Options
- For data I hold (for example, an email you sent me): write to theillustrator2001@gmail.com
- For advertising data processed by Google and TCF vendors: use Privacy Options in the app and Google's tools, and see Google's privacy policy
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EEA, or with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom.
Children
Ball Balance is not directed at children under 13 in the United States, or at children under 16 in the EU, EEA, or UK (a typical digital-consent age). It is not a kids' app. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and I do not run ads that I know are directed at children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to me, email me and I will delete it where I can.
Remove Ads in-app purchase
The Remove Ads product hides banner ads on Pause, Game Over, and Level Complete, and the Zen Mode play banner. It does not remove rewarded Watch ads. After a loss, Watch Get Back can still show a rewarded video. Remove Ads is not an ad-free version of the app.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the page. Google may collect pages you visit, how long you stay, approximate location derived from IP address, and browser, device, and operating system details. The site may set Analytics cookies. I do not collect names, emails, or accounts through this site unless you choose to email me.
The in-app UMP consent form applies to the game, not to this website.
Google's policies
Google's practices for AdMob, UMP, Analytics, and related services are described by Google:
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
